 Subject: What to do first???

Hey, I just bought a 2000 R/T. It has 39,243 mi and im looking for my first modification. I wanted a chip or programer first. Can some of u guys tell me what is the best route to go.
I have a year and a half till i get my lisense. But i wanted to get the most i could before the year an a half is up...

If you are looking for a programmer/Chip, then go with Superchips, From what I hear it offers the best performance with the most choices when programming your truck.

First, sit down and come up with a plan. The limit is really your wallet size, so start with that. Then decide how far you want to go, and in what direction. This is probably the most important step, so don't skip it.
For example, if your plan includes a blower and aftermarket heads, skip the cat back system and go for big tube headers and duals. Also, skip the chip, because you'll need a custom computer to go with the blower. See what I mean?
If you're really not sure what direction you want to take under the hood, then start by working on the suspension: better brakes, better tires, bigger sway bars, etc. Or maybe start with the visuals: flames, chrome, neon lights, whatever.
Without a general plan, you'll end up spending a lot of money on mismatched parts and end up with dissapointing results.

why don't you drive it stock for a couple months. you're only 14 and may find a stock rt is plenty fast enough for you. save your money, i wish i had that much time to do research on my mods. you're in a good position. drive your truck for a while first. be patient. your personal experience will help you to determine if you want more high end, low end, blower, stuff like that. my .02 do what you wish i respect that but that's what i would tell my brother.

Thanks, for the help. i will try to start planning on what to do first. Hopefully when i get my lisense i would like to come to some dakota meets and stuff.

Ohhh. What exhaust do u guys suggest? My brothers dakota has a 50 series flowmaster with turndowns under the cab.
I want a mean, aggressive, deep sound.
And i have a freind with a TA that has spiral tech. Would i be better off with something like that?
