Message: I live not to far from them and offered my Dak to them as a test truck but was told they already had test trucks and would call me if they needed another.
I kinda feel like I got the blow-off because the email included a standard "we are exploring the possibilites of that application" comment.
I am sure one will come out after I have paid Marty (KRC Performance, also down the road from me) for cams and a reprogrammed ECM.

Message: They said they were working on the 4.7L because of high interest in the motor by enthusiasts. Looked like they were in the final stages of development.

Message: I also watched that show wednesday evening on the
Speed channel. I was supprised to hear them say
that DC has *several* different computers for the
4.7.
I now wonder if that is the reason why the new
3.7 V6 and its missing problems only on Dakotas
and no problems in the Jeep Liberty is because
DC made different computers with total different
code for each?
That's gonna make one hell of a job for Superchips
to sell a programmer to us 4.7 V8 users when
several versions are made by DC. I would not be
supprised you're gonna need the date your
Dakota was made in order to get the correct
programmer.
How would you like to be the guy at the keyboard
decoding those things? WOW!! No wonder we call
them geeks

Message: Izzy, I would have maxed out all my credit cards if I lived where you live!
Tell us how big the superchips HQ is:
How big is the garage/building...
How many cars out front and what not...
I feel that kind of information will help everyone get an idea of how serious the whole operation is!

Message: I know that when I looked under the hood of a 2004 Jeep GC w/ 4.7L HO engine it had the PCM with the 3 connectors and the TCM separately mounted above the passenger's side shock tower. Dodge changed to the 4 connector in mid-2002, I think. So, that's at least 2 totally different PCMs right there. But, that shouldn't deter Superchips, look at the money they're going to rake in if they come out with a programmer that works.
