Subject: noise when turning wheel IP: Logged
Message: Whenever I back up and turn the wheel all the way to the left or right I hear a noise, not too loud but still worries me. It sounds like something is rubbing maybe, not too sure.
Has anyone had this happen to them? I hope it's not the ball joint problem I keep hearing about.
Thanks.

Message: This may sound stupid, but thought I'd just say it anyway. Are you sure it's not the power steering. When you turn the wheel all of the way, until it won't turn any more, and hold it there, the power steering will make a noise. That's normal for it to do.

Message: You might want to check the inside edge or your rims to see iif they are scraped. My truck did the same thing after I had a wheel bearing replaced. I turned out to be the tie rod touching the inner rim when I made a hard left or right turn.
