Message: It really all depends on how much air you are pushing into the engine, in my opinion that i have scence with people is that if your running a SC then it would be best with the True Duals, but if not and just have an CAI, TB, manifold , stuff like that then go with the y-pipe and cat-back, the gains are usually the same,
but you might want to ask some more people then just me answering, and do what you feel is right for your truck.

Message: Have it custom built for the 4.7L. Any respectable exhaust shop can do it. Or wait for somebody to bring one out on the market. Or do a true dual system (even better) for even less money than a new 'Y'.

Message: I had a -pipe cat back exhaust put on, all custom, from a local shop just a few months ago. It sounds and looks great but unless you have better than stock airflow coming in be prepared to lose some of your acceleration and low end torque. On the other hand, your truck feels a whole lot more powerful. My buddies have other trucks, chevy's, but they have K&N intakes and they claim to have picked up some accel. I'm installing mine next week so I'll let you know.

Message: Oh, I should mention any shop should be able to do it for about $300 (if not less, I paid $240 but was getting a discount since we brought 3 trucks in). Don't let them tell you that you'll have to drop your spare for the exaust. They bent around mine just fine.
And make sure to check it about a week after it's installed, my exaust wore through one of my shocks. It was time to get a new set anyway but still, thats bad news that you can avoid by just checking up on it the first week or so.
