Just started revving up to 1600rpm in neutral- won't come down; tried new tps- no difference; linkage, throttle body ok...ideas?

I had the same trouble with my 91. After chasing after several different items it ended up being the idle control motor. Also, you might try unplugging the motor and plugging it back in before replacing it. Also, might try resetting the computer before you replace it.

Thanks, Mike- that was the problem- took it apart, cleaned it out, put it back on....makes a little noise but it works again! -paul
