I am a novice and need to swap spark plugs on my 4.7. There is a box, I believe it is an air intake, in my way of reaching several plugs. Is there anything special to removing the air intake? Do I just remove the bolts that are holding it down? I just want to make sure I don't screw anything up. Thanks for any help you can give.

you sait it. just remove the bolts holding it down (10MM) and there is a hose clamp on the throttle body itself, that is what holds you up from removing it after you remove the bolts... also the coil-pak hold down bolts (at least on my 00) are also 10MM... and I find it easier to unclip the heater hoses that run across the manofold. that way you can repositon them to have better access to a few of the front plugs...

any more ?s, feel free to ask :-)

Oh, and the torque spec for the spark plugs it 20 FT/LBS.
