Little advise for you guys that are either paying full retail price or more.

The best way and the easiest way is to buy from oem suppliers over the internet. However, there are other ways to obtain wholesale prices thru your local Stealers, i mean dealers.

Check with the company that you work for in their maintenance department if they have an account with the local dodge dealer. If, they don't they will most likely have accounts with places like Napa or Checkers. Ask the maintenance dept. to order you the parts, then just go and pay cash for them for a fraction of the cost.

Another way, is make friends with a local shop, and ask them to order the parts for you. Then just go and pick them up and pay cash.

To give you an example. My door lock actuator started to fail on my 2000 Durango. It would have costed me $109 if i went and bought it myself at the dealer. List price is $76 or $79. Can't remember. Got the part for $57 with a jobber discount thru our maintenance department. That's where the dealers get their name (Stealers).

Just trying to save Dodge owners some money. Because, by god, Dodge dealers will take all your money and provide not much service.

I priced the drivers door electric window regualtor at the dealership ($121) and then went online ($127) to price them. In the end I found that the dealership price was at almost $6-$10 less in many cases. The online prices didn't even count the shipping.

Since my local dealership's parts dept. manager lives at the end of my street, I can get the part for ever less. My problem is that I only need 2 little plastic rollers instead of the whole window regulator. I gotta spend $$$ for pieces that cost a few cents each.
