Subject: 92 dakota, rain water... IP: Logged
Message: Ok heres the deal... everytime it rains I get a large puddle on the passenger side floor. I checked all the moldings and it looks good. Has anyone heard of this? P.S. No, its not the heater core because this only happens when it's raining.

Message: Check the back window. Couple people have reported leaks there, almost impossible to find unless you look closely. The water will work its way to the floorpan and pool there.
My truck leaks slightly from the door seal, but it usually does not come into the cab/carpet area.

Message: I had a similar problem with water getting into the cab on a 92 4x4 5.2. I found the problem by covering different parts of the vehivle with a tap and holding the tarp down with magnets. I vacumed the water out with a shop each time till I could isolate the problem. In my case it turned out to be the windshield gasket below the removable cowling by the windshield wipers. I took the off, removed the cowling and sealed the gasket with a caulking gun and a tube of GE #2 silicon. This was the solution to my problem, yours may be different.
