Message: SXT is basically an entry level package with a monochrome paint scheme on the Dakota.
Sport is a mid-level package with black accents on the bumpers, doors and mirrors.(and SPORT decals)
SLT is the higher level package that includes chrome accents on the bumpers, doors and mirrors.
SLT std features include AIR,HD alternator, cruise, tilt and floor mats, all of which can be had as options on the other levels as far as I know.

Message: There all wrong on atleast one part, my 2002 Dodge Dakota
sXt, witch i think the "X" in sxt just seperates the s and the t
but hell i ai t even sure, but I do know that they are wrone on
one thing cause my dakota has a 3.9 v6 in it.. It does have
fender flares a shiny grey paint job black bumpers and one
nice black rusty bumper 6 lug rims rubber tires and a nasty
smellin candle shaped thingy hangin from mirror and the
reason im even here is because the POS wont start!!! Did i
mention its 3.9 NOT 3.7.. Everything else they said is half
right, no yours aint special so people do still order their cars
from dealerships with added options like v8 stick shift and floor
mats, though rare people do anymore since Americans are
unpatients people and buy whats on the lot... Oh did i mention
my dakota wont start? POS

Message: I have a 2003 durango sxt. The sxt trim package
was
available as of 2001. Included running boards and
fender flares. also as stated above comes with a
4.7L v8. the R/T was the only one to come with the
5.9. The sxt is also equipped with tilt wheel,
power everything, also as an FYI as of 2000 the v6
was no longer available in the durango. The SXT is
one step under the R/T. The only two differences
are the motor (R/T came with 5.9 as well as a
supercharged option and the All time All wheel
drive.
