Subject: Cheap Cool Air and Exhaust IP: Logged
Message: I purchased a cheap cool air intake off of ebay and I like it over all however I am worried cause it seems like I have a lot of weight now just hanging off the air box. Is there a good way to brace it? Also it rubs on the air conditioner lines a bit. Just looking for ideas. Also I am thinking of doing some more performance upgrades, probably headers and dual exhaust any recommendations?

Message: You should be able to attach a brace into the bolt hole that the air hat attached to. The Volant intakes use a piece of steel/iron to bolt into this location

Message: had the same problem, took a small piece of rubber and zip tied it onto the ac line, works really well.like lurkin said should be able to bolt a piece of betal bracket to existing hole using stock bolt.

Message: Thanks for the help guys now how about headers and dual exhaust any good deals? Also how hard is it to do with a kit if you are novice? I have a 99' dakota 318 4x4 with a 5 speed manual tranny. Its a beast in the snow but it sounds like a minivan.
