 Subject: WHY DO MY EVAP HOSES CRACK!

im sick and tired of this. i just replaced a 4th evap hose because it was cracked. the dealership said the tempurature variation from summer to winter cracks them. my truck has 30K miles on it so that cant be the culpret. anybody else have this problem?

they split too. they are low quality. type in po442 in search engine.

The Evap hoses are junk the ones on my truck were split from day one. I rep mine with aftermarket hoses from napa

Temperature variation does not cause the cracking. Temps range from -20 to 100 where I am, hoses are 4 years old with no cracks. Do you have an exhaust leak ? Exhaust gas will dry rot rubber. So will sunlight.
