I have a 01 4.7 QCab and am thinking of dropping is the new 5.7 hemi used in the Dodge Magnum.
Has anyone tried this swap?

I thought about that install a couple years ago and if you do a search on this forum, then you can find some background info.
The bottom line was that because of the dificulty and cost associated with transplanting the wiring harness, and associated parts to make it work, that it was determined there were much better options. The new Hemi computer controlled design is much different than the 4.7l. Besides, you can easily make the 4.7l out perform a stock Hemi, which would be much less hastle than the swap would require. How about a supercharger(Kenne Bell). Check out KRCperformance.com for ideas. You might even want to try swapping in a 408 stroker.

if you want a hemi kota, drop a crate 426 in it. no pcm or complicated wiring.
