He just practices 'principles of marketing' and more specifically, the principles of network marketing. The more naysayers the more copy. Keep bumping him and insulting him and you will see more and more copy. He is honest too. He thanks all the naysayers for bumping him and allowing him to post an even longer copy. So go ahead, complain. Get exactly what you create. There is noone more responsible for the long copy than the ones who complain about it. LMAO The answer is written right in front of you!!! Wake-up and smell the oil!!! Steve I know you are laughing all the way to the bank. Good for you!!! When I was into Amway, I sought the naysayers to sell to. They were the most rewarding, and the best of advertisments by word of mouth. "hey Johnny, I thought you hated Amway, why do you have "dish drops" on your sink?" Yeah, I know, I did hate them, but then the amway guy showed me how superior they are, gave me a great satisfaction guarantee and I used them and I love them, you should try them too, I can sell you some and you will love them, and then you can tell two negative friends too.... Hee hee!! lol America, land of opportunity. Where the uneducated can vote for their favorite liberal! I'll bet ya that John Kerry uses Dino. We all know that he is a Wino. WooHoo!!

nah lets us not banish them, if we did then we wouldn't have those like yourself here. But we can allow them to lust for our level of satisfaction which will be cause for them to purchase a dak. lol
Plus they will need a vehicle to travel to the dodge dealer when their dak comes in. They can then just leave the s-10 on the side of the road for the next generation of confused individuals. lol Ok ok all the s-10 owners, don't beat me senseless. My dad owns one and is very happy with it. They are good trucks, agreed. I just happen to think that a dak is better.

Bannishment is a little harsh, but I'm also getting tired of having to roll my finger down 3 times just to get through 1 post. Most of us know what oil we want. Some guys swear by one brand while others think its crap. Everyone has their favorite oil. I think Amsoil is overrated and too expensive. I use Mobil 1 in everything from my truck to boat to motorcycle. A 500 sentence post is not going to make me run out and buy the stuff. Ithink most people that post here would agree.

Wow man, you guys need to invest in a wheel-mouse.

You can get a mouse with a scroll wheel...you can scroll down a webpage faster than oprah runnin' to a buffet.

You guys (not all, but some) talk like there's some "limit" to the size of a post, and Steve's hoggin' all the room.

This is the Internet...no size restriction...if the server runs out of room, they'll buy a bigger hard drive, with STEVE'S money. Bytes are dime a billion nowadays.

How pathetic to cry about posts you don't want to read, when you obviously visit the same post many times to bitch about it.

Steve's a great guy - I've learned a lot from his posts. I don't buy from Steve, but I DO buy Amsoil. Check out www.amsoil.com for some good info.

And for you crybabies whining about long posts, buy a wheel-mouse and learn to scroll and quit your pouting.

Just to spite you, and make you scroll down the page, I'm going to make this the longest fricken post you've ever read.

I'm going to keep double spacing, and type a whole butt-load of nonsense just to piss you off.

Actually I do have a laser wheel mouse smart ass, which I used to scroll through your post in about 1/2 second. I think it's so funny how you Amsoil guys are so uptight about the quality of your oil and get pissed when someone challenges you. I am a lubrication engineer. I have done all types of oil analysis. I regularly read all the tests and publications. I use Mobil 1 because there is no middle man and I haven't found any testing results (real tests), that prove it's that much better, to justify the extra cost. I don't make a living trying to sell any particular brand and I'm not brand loyal. I make a living telling the very large corporation I work for what the best lubes, greases and oils are to use in their machinery. Here there's not just a $20,000 Dak at stake sometimes the equipment is worth millions, so I think I may know a little about oil. I don't care if Amsoil or Mobil 1 will last to 18,000 miles because the oil will never sit in my engine that long.

LMAO JimmyC, you just invited another post by Steve! Its like saying, "I can't stand to hear you speak." Then saying, "what do you have to say to that?" Then complaining that you have to listen. LMAO
Also: you seem to be ok with the fact that people have differing opinions, but in your most recent post you seemto despise those who prefer Amsoil. I don't dislike you because you prefer Mobil. I think Mobil is a great oil, but I like Amsoil better. For me, Amsoil is the better performer, not just by oil analysis and the like, but also the fact that Mobil and Valvoline helped make a nice frothy vanilla shake for me inside my fill tube and Amsoil does not. Vanilla shakes can be detrimental to your health and that of your engine. But if you prefer to use Mobil, or any other oil for that matter, then that is your right, and I would never insult you for it. So please don't insult me.

I've never seen that problem with mobil 1. How did you determine it was the type of oil and not something else (maybe you overfilled the crankcase, and the crank whipped it into a froth) ?
Back to original idea in this thread - no one is forcing anyone to read Steve's posts. I don't read every post; you guys don't have to either. Without Steve's sponsorship, there might not be a site here to post on. Get over it.

Well fresh off my first typing battle with the amsiol man (that I requested in my original post never to start in the first place), I would like to add this...To me this is simply a courtesy issue. If no reply is needed on your part, respect the others wish and keep it in your pants (sponsor or not). I requested different oil options on a post, which started very informative and ended in a school yard brawl. I requested no reply on amsoils part as I am well awair of his product from using this forum in the past. The thread started great with some good tips thrown in (I love the Dr.P trick by the way), until.....cmon guys you have seen me post it before (the understatement of the decade). The amsoil invasion had begun, and common courtesy was dead at the old forum. I ended up in a pissin contest and didn't even need to pee in the first place. GEEZ!
For the record...Amsoil seems like a good product and gets good feedback from its users, but I don't think we as users of this forum should have to be bombarded with advertisement to remind us of this everytime someone has a question about lubs particulary when requested not to originally. COMMON COURTESY IF YOU PLEASE SIR as this forum is about more than lubs and I don't see V-8 proformance.com posting with a product everytime there is a question about a supercharger.

You want picture proof about Oil?

I had a customer brought her car into the shop after the engine locked up. We went through the basic service and maintenance questions. She stated she had a regular Oil Change approximately every 3,000 miles. I notices the "Quick Lube" Penzoil sticker on the window. I checked and she was due in 500 Miles. She stated she always used Penzoil. I suspected what I was going to find, but it was WORSE! This car had 110,000 miles on it!

Nice Valve Covers!

No, The grass was not in the engine

It's a miracle Oil was even flowing back down to the block! Notice this side was still wet.

Oil Journals were completely blocked and cooked all the oil on this head.

We did manage to salvage the block. It was also covered solid in "Gunk". An acid bath did manage to clean the block but both heads had visible cracks on the bottom side.

Keep dogging on the AmsOil Sponsor and continue pouring penzoil in your engine.

I Wish you the best of luck, Shank

Kowalski,
I had Mobil in the dak from the dealer at my first change, and at the next change they were using Valvoline. They told me that they were having trouble with the frothing on a lot of similar styles of engines/filler tubes and that is the main reason for the change. I noticed the frothing reduced greatly when the Valvoline was used, but the Valvoline didn't stand-up well. The oil pressure dropped-off after about 2,000 miles (about 5lbs) and was very low at idle. They have now switched back to Mobil at the dealer because a lot of customers were complaining about the Valvoline for the reason that I mentioned and the fact that it seemed to get dirty and stay that way very early in the cycle. I started to use the Amsoil at that time (bringing it to the dealer to install, with Amsoil provided filter) and the frothing went away. I tried Mobil once again (because I procrastinated and didn't have enough Amsoil to do a change before a trip) and the frothing came back. So, for my particular situation, and obviously for others too, the Mobil was not a good choice. It was certainly better than Valvoline, and may even be better than most "retail store oils", but I like the performance of Amsoil and will stick with it. For others, Mobil may be the preferred, and that is great for them. Whatever works for ya is fine with me.
BTW my buddy at work had the same trouble with a Chevy Silverado (can't remember the engine) with Mobil. He tried Pennsoil, Castrol and Valvoline, then tried Amsoil (after he asked what I use) and has never gone back. He swears by the Amsoil and has got others to make the switch too. Also: the notorious 'cold-start' noise that chevy had for a few years has almost gone away in his truck and a couple of the others that have made the switch. It took about 6-8,000 miles, but it is almost gone and that is something that chevy has been plaqued with for some time now. A couple of others that use the Amsoil still have the noise, but we will see if it eventually helps them also. Whether it does or not, I think that they will stick with Amsoil for the other benefits it gives them.

Dodge Dealerships now carry Amsoil Amzoil Ams Oil

Sorry Guys, I know I posted the following information before, and therefore ... per this "Bannishment Thread" ... should have only posted a "link" to the earlier thread.

Unfortunately the "Dodge Dealerships Now Carry Amsoil" thread was hijacked by a bunch of flamers ... so this is the only professional way to remind people of the information ... rather than sending visitors to a thread with hundreds of flames.

Thanks for the kind words peedee.

If anyone is interested, some Dodge Dealerships are now carrying Amsoil.

DODGE DEALERSHIPS NOW CARRY AMSOIL !!!

This was posted by Sephiroth 3/20/2004
V8 Forum --- Subject: New Chrysler Product?!

Message posted by Sephiroth:

"I went in to have my brakes checked today, and when I walked into the garage the first thing I saw made my jaw hit the floor. My local dealership now uses and sells AMSOIL products!! They've got it posted on a big banner over the service-desks. GM may not have been able to get it for their 'vettes, but obviously Dodge was able to, or they found out how awesome it is and started buying at regular price! When I go in for a tranny-filter, fluid, and gasket change next week, it's getting filled with AMSOIL."

Sephiroth went on to state:

"This is at the Raleigh, NC dealership, Al Smith Buick, Dodge, Mazda. I told the guy at the desk I was astounded to see them using AMSOIL and that I had been using it for a while now. After he rode in the truck he said he'd be switching next oil-change in his Ram.

As for me, I've got it in the engine, and I'll have it in the tranny soon! Next up are the differentials. After that I need to get a dyno just for curiosity's sake. IF I get 3-5hp form the differential, and God knows how much from the engine and tranny, that'll be enough without any heavy mods. Well, for all I do anyway. If it is a significant gain, I'll post the results."

Dodge Dealerships are beginning to realize that Amsoil offers a FULL LINE of SUPERIOR Premium Synthetic Lubricants and Dodge Dealerships are beginning to offer Amsoil.

Why ...

1) Dodge knows Amsoil meets AND exceeds Dodge's requirements.
2) Because their customers are asking for Amsoil.
3) Amsoil = 30 Year History of Research and Development
4) Amsoil offers the best Synthetic Lubricants

I call BS on the oil pics. There is now way without other external factors such as excessive dirt, that oil will do that in an engine. Just won't happen if the engine is taken care of. I had a 68 mustang with the original straight six with 260,000 miles on it and when I pulled it to drop in a 302, I broke into that engine and the head and intake and everything else looked just fine. Of course there was wear, but no thick gunk as you are suggesting. I ran Valvoline in that engine and never once had a problem, and obviously none of the crap that you are showing, and I drove the hell out of that six cylinder. So again, I call BS.
