Took the clutch fan off my '03 4.7 last week. I still have the 195* thermostat in and have not seen any difference in engine temps. The electric fan seems to be doing fine in 90+ weather in town with the AC on. I've also measured a 1 mpg increase in average mileage (figured each time I fill up)to 18 mpg overall. Can feel a definite seat of the pants improvement in accel too. Best mod that I've done so far. Changed rearend lube to Amsoil 75W-90 on 9-04. Hope to see another increase in gas mileage with this too.
