It's up on the dodge site. Must have been changed a few days ago. Not impressed, I heard the new motor would be rated 150 hp, not true it's the same as the 04. The o4 dakota is the fastest one they made, the motor had all the current changesd and 5 more pounds of torque because of the weight factor. The 05 weighs about 500 pounds more than gen3's. If you have an 04 you are lucky, keep it till they improve the 05 in 06 or 07.
My 04 is a beast and it is pretty fast. Came fast right out of the box. With the minor mods on the motor it is a true beast, I am glad I bought the 04
4wd cc 4.7 5sp auto sport plus patriot blue. The girls love it. They cream over my truck as they blow me off, as in don't give me the time of day, i wish I was a patriot blue Dakota.

You don't gain torque by loosing weight. A lighter truck will be quicker, but that won't change its torque rating. What a maroon !

I just went to the build and price option on the website for the 05 and man am I glad I got an 04. The very base truck starts at about 20,500. Just bought my truck, which is pretty much fully loaded minus leather, and it was cheaper then that. The front end of that truck kills it for me. hemi or no hemi, ill stick with mine till she dies.

I don't know where you get your info but it's wrong. The engine options are: v-6 210 HP v-8 230 hp ,hipo v-8 250 hp
