The hemi is coming back with the intro of the new generation Dakota SUT. The Hemi will be the most powerful engine in its class and most of the full size market. The New generation SUT is due out in the fall of 2006. I am new here, cool site and awesome truck

Hate to burst your bubble, 99. But, i don't think a Hemi will go into the new Dakota's anytime soon.
Have a look at Car & Driver Oct 2004. Page 126. David McDonald, (Dakota Program Manager) States that the hemi would not fit into the engine compartment because, it would hit the upper control arm.
Oh, and the new Dakota does not share the same platform as the Durango. But many are similar.
