Corrosion is highly dependent upon the area in which you live. I live on the coast and my front tie bar rusted like crazy. Rather than get on the board and bash dodge who could have economically done nothing to foresee or prevent this issue, I sanded, taped, and put on some rust-o-leum baby.
Is this some kind of pride issue or are you just venting over spending 700 bucks on repairs? You're putting way too much effort into convincing us all that your stupid freeze plugs are defective. I guess you were just bored cuz yir ride waz in the shop. FIND SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE TO DO! I mean, seriously, you're obsessed.

Message: Shoestring. Is your tie bar made of galvanized metal? DUH? NO! Galvanized metal is designed not to rust or corrode. Thus the meaterial used in Freeze plugs by DODGE. Bash DODGE, I am just posting the facts. Galvanized freeze plugs should not corrode through from the inside. Especially with the correct coolant mixture. That's why Dodge uses them. Cheaper than brass but effective? Look up the properties of galvanized metals and there purpose then get back on the board. I am not bashing DODGE I have owned three of them. But it is what it is, Wrong!
