HELP! Ok here's the deal my brothers a member here and i'm here on an emergency troubleshooting mission for him and he guided me here{forgive me for being abrupt~ He took his 01 to circut city{in lasVegas}2 hr drive, to have the stock sound system put back in and when they finished the truck WILL not start Cranks but wont start has a "no buss" light that flashes and a code he thinks is either 4-14-or 40 I thought these were 3 didgit codes for this year..? Either way here is what I walked him through...check fuel pressure both cranking and key on Nothing no fp Also can not hear the FP in the tank , checked ALL the fuses in cab and engine compartment All check out Aparently all they have done was reinstall the harness adapter back into the factory radio and harness And now a no start this truck has 78,000 miles with ZERO history of problems And I seriously doubt the FP or Relay is out of it I suspect the pcm was 5 volt side was shorted through the ABS harness or another 5 volt source to the pcm How can I check for a failed pcm ?
Remebr I have to travel and take limited tools VOM , Jumper wires so on so forth so please keep this in mind ...ANY IDEA'S?
