rob be ready to wait a long time for that in a Dakota! When they redesing the Dakota to the smaller M80 concept I think we will be lucky to see a v-8 let alone the bigger 5.7 v-8. I don't think they'll make the effort to put the 5.7 hemi in the current Dakota, I would trade up for it in a heartbeat if they did, but I don't think it's likely. You will be able to get the 5.7 hemi in a ram next year but wi9th their added weight don't look for a hemi ram to be any quicker then a current Dakota R/T.

I Own a RC Dakota R/T with computer, headers intake (intake is a FIPK dont buy one mine cracked right where it mounts to the throttle body and sucked straight air in and clogged my cat just got that replaced and I ordered the AEM brute force looking forward to that!) oh and spintec exhaust. Anyway I just wanted to say I love my truck. I really like the torq like you guys where saying not alot of HP but alot of torq. A camero or mustang make more high rpm horsepower and maybe close torq but I would be willing to bet the torq is more in the high range so if is off the line power you crave and you even tow once in a while I would buy the R/T. And I would like to say the dakota handles exceptionally well for a truck I do believe reading it got like .87 Gs on skid thats with stock tires and the stock tires suck A$$. But I have to say a camero or mustang are also sweet rides and capable of big power. I wouldnt mind a sports car but there is just somthing cool about a fast truck *big grin* I have to admit those lightings are cool too. I for one would like to see mopar supercharge the R/T stock that would just be sick wouldnt it!
