 Subject: Sell my 5.2 for R/T?

All of a sudden the perfect R/T showed up in the local paper. Sonic yellow with blue lettering 66k miles and fipk2 being the only mod. its listed at 10,200 but the guy said hed be more than willing to come down. Im going to see it tomorrow and he said its in mint condition. How much can i get for a 99 CC 5.2L 4x4 with 90k miles? kbb says something like 10,400. is this realistic and is it a good buy if the truck checks out as good condition?

The problem that you may run into is the amount of miles on your truck. I know that I wouldn't pay $10,000 for any vechile with 90K miles.

Should be Solar Yellow, not sure what colour Sonic Yellow is though. If it's 99 solar yellow RC R/T it would be pretty rare which would make it a pretty good buy.

Dealers use the NADA price guide, the values in KBB are higher. Around these parts a 99 4x4 with 90k+ are in the $ 6800-7200 range.

ya my bad solar yellow. its an induvidual who has to sell the truck to get some money for school. I thought yellow rc might be rare.

I have the opportunity to buy an 1998 CC deep amethyst R/T. There were only about 250 or of those made in 98. It has 74k miles. Would that be worth $8,000?

The link is cool, nice info, but... it states that the front anti-sway bar is 15mm dia., mine looks to be about 3 times that! Misprint, I suppose.

Allow me to shed some light on this situation as well. On Jan. 21st of this year, I purchased a 99 rc R/T. It had 44K miles on the ticker and it is Solar Yellow. I purchased it for $9K. A friend of mine looked the truck over from front to back and everything in between and gave me his seal of approval. I felt the price was right and it was cheap. Perhaps I lucked out because I was buying a 2wd truck in the middle of a PA winter? Regardless, there is nothing wrong with trying to get the price down even lower.
