Would this work on my 02 4.7? Would I be able to weld my precats onto it? Looking specifically at the 2.5 dual in to 2.5 single out y-pipe. Check it out at www.magnaflow.com under the "hardware" section.

You would have to take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld in pipes from the precats to the Y pipe and then to the rest of your exhaust. No one make a direct fit replacement Y pipe for the 4.7 yet. What did you have in mind for the rest of the exhaust or did you just want to replace the Y pipe?

I already have a single in dual out magnaflow muffler, basically I just want to open up the y-pipe a bit, some stupid muffler shop on the phone I talked to claims there would be no benefit from a larger diameter y-pipe if I kept the pre-cats, I say bullmullarky.
