 Subject: 2000 4.7 L modifications?

Hey?
I have a 2000 4X4 SLT with 4.7 liter engine. The only mods I have done are installing dual flowmaster mufflers and also stock style K&N foam air filter for greater flow.
Anybody got any good modifications they have done to really improve performance and also gas mileage?

Try a good cold air intake. Noticable increase in power and milage plus sound.

I went with the the Leach flash and HO cams - more power and milage wasn't any worse. Milage might go up with the flash if you can keep your foot out of it, but I didn't do it for the milage.

It depends on how much money you want to spend. Look at my list of mods. The supercharger actually didn't really hurt the gas mileage, if you keep you foot out of it.
2000, CC, SLT, 4x4, 4.7, 4.10, Auto

I don't know. The entire system was $1100. Y-Pipe, Cat, Muffler, Dual Chrome Tips out the back

What does the throttle body mod do for your truck, increased air flow I am guessing?

The TB allows for more air to get into you engine easier.
