Anyone looked into Dragon intakes? They look a little cheesey but they have an optional setup that lets in air from outside the engine well. Any opinions?

yeah its at dragonintakes.com. Looks pretty similiar to other intakes but like i said...a little cheesey looking. The cold air attachment looks like it could easily be done on pretty much any intake system via home brew.

Sounds like a possible bunch of crap to me. There has to be someone out there who has heard something about these things though.

Looks like crap to me. Im not saying this because I already got a cold air intake and dont care. It litterally looks cheap and ricey. You cant even choose which engine you have for which kit. I would stick with brands you can trust, K&N, Intense performance, Volant(maybe), 360 deg intakes(maybe).

Not to defend the company but......... the 3,9, 5.2, and the 5.9 use the same intake so why wouldnt it work on all.... as for the 4 cylinder guys ... they should know better .....

So i guess they are realying on everyone having one of those engines. If you were to order from them you'd probably be better off calling in your specs to make sure things went right. But who knows...it may be a kick ass intake for cheap.

AHHHH...Got Rice!

"Dyno Proven for a Horsepower Gain of 7.2 Horsepower at the wheels. The Dragon Intake System gives you the most horsepower gain for your dollar. "

Uhhhh...the K&N Gen-II on the 5.9L does more than that. The average gain from a quality cold-ait kit if about 7-10HP.

Best bang for the buck is the Z-Tube from Intense Performance on the 4.7L.

I will say that I have seen several of these in person and they actually are fairly well built. A lot of ricers actually like their intakes including filters. They are kinda stupid looking though.
