Subject: dyno max exhaust options. IP: Logged
Message: ok so I have settled on dynomax for an exhaust system.
presenlty my system is the 2.5inch stock piping with the exception of were the catalitic converter was removed.
the options are this. 3inch pipe y-pipe back to a 3inch dynomax ultraflow turned down befor the axle. Or a 3inch dynomax cat back, most likely I will extend this up to the y-pipe the catback uses a super turbo.
I am wondering if anyone has a similiar setup and how there truck sounds. I don't want the system to much louder but deaper adn the more performance I can get the better in my opinion. I could always add the 3inch tailpipe latter if the system is to loud.

Message: are you sure that you want to go with dynomax?
I got the flowmaster cat back kit from jegs for $190 it has a nice deep mellow rumble I checked out the dyno max and I thought that it sounded a little to poppy at higher rpms. just my opinion anyway.you can go to these web sites and listen to the audio of what they sound like!

Message: I guess that i should clairify, the turbo and super turbo mufflers sound kinda poppy and the ultraflow sounds and looks more like a flowmaster, and the flowmaster force 2 cat-back kit keeps the stock 2.5 piping into the muffler, then out with a single 3 with smooth mandrel bends exiting out the stock location.

Message: I have had flowmasters in the past and hated them. No offense just my experience I also am not as concerned with sound. It can sound raspy as hell if need be as long as it adds poer and is not as pricey as GSMotorsports setup.
No one in my area does mandrel bends as well the reason I was going to go straight to a dump.
