For anyone that has a PowerDyne SC please tell me if it's supposed to sound like a bad steering pump. I installed a used one this weekend, fired it up and didn't like what I heard. Bad bearings you think. Thanks for any help.

Mine runs very quiet and the only sound you here is the normal s/c "whine".

Most likely it is the cheap chinese ball bearings going bad--worst case is that it breaks and the motor ingests impeller fragments.
Seriously--has happened many a time.
