Have any of u guys got ur ass stomped racing or lost to n e thing that really embarassed you? i raced a civic yesterday. he got the head start at the light cuz i asked him if he wanted to race. he said no then nailed it when light hit green. i caught up with him no prob but we stayed side by side from then on to about 95 then we both let off. i was kinda ashamed. i thought my 318 dak would spank him. but i dont know what he had under his hood either

If something beats me, and it wasn't by mistake on my part, then I have nothing to be embrassed about. But there was one time...
I had my arse handed to me by a 97 Lumina Sedan. Tinted windows, fake chrome Auto/Zone Special spinners, 3" Fart can. Lined up at a light, and raced, beat me by more car lengths than I could count. Caught at the next light and I asked him what the hell was that thing. We pulled into a donut shop parking lot and he popped his hood, chuckling the whole time. He had a small block V8, fully blown, port polish, power programmer, and bottled, racing cams, everything you could think of. I asked him about the crappy spinners and the fart can and he said it was just to get people to race him. He said cheesey imports will race each other more than something they know will kick their arse, so that is why he did it. I found out the he had a custom made exhaust put on with down spouts near the rear, the fart can wasnt even hooked up to anything. A true sleeper car. We had a few coffees and joked about hondas and poked around my truck a little. Motor city has some really cool car buffs here, and its times like those that really make you glad you live here.

i raced a 2000 gmc 5 speed somona with exhaust and chip against my stock r/t and beat him off the line but he caught me in 2nd then stayed dead even to 95 when he floated out i was really suprised i beat a 5 speed sonoma off the line and that i did not spank him!

1992 jeep cherokee 5pd 4.0L. Homeade intake on that thing and it flew. It ran a 16.18 at the local strip.

keep in mind that the vehicle im talking about is my old one. 02 RC SXT 3.9L V6. Slowest thing ive ever driven. i think my old tempo could have beat it, in reverse. I got spanked by everyone i pulled up next to. kept up close to my friends stock 91 honda until about 70 then she pulled away :( messed with just about everyone even though i knew theyd whoop me. anything from vipers, vettes, to civics and neons. i think the only thing i could beat was a 4 banger tacoma or ranger. its ok though. traded that thing in and now am the proud owner of a 04 CC SLT 4.7L V8. just over 700 miles so im not racing yet but in due time, i shall have my revenge! Oh yea, 2 quick questions. My friend has a (supposedly) stock 99 ram RC 5.2L v8, 1. Whats the difference in the 4.7 and 5.2? and 2. can i take him?

The 4.7L is a better built, better timed, almost-HEMI engine that should be able to take the 5.2 on most any platform.

My Dakota R/T got smoked by a Honda Accord. It was'nt no ordinary Honda Accord even though it sure looked like one. It was a young kid driving and I saw the ricer fart can, NOPI stickers, 10 guages mounted on top of the dash, and the cheezy bright red seatbelt shoulder pads sold at Autozone. I think this guy was ready for a good spanking as he just pulled from behind me to be side by side at the redlight. He launched hard and all I saw was taillights.
He destroyed my R/T, so I had to find this guy and see what he had under the hood. I caught up with him a week later at the local Petro truck stop in Warner Robins GA. I found out he had a custom tubular frame, suspension system, rear wheel drive, and a supercharged built Chevy 401. So I don't feel so bad. This car moves.
He told me that he gets a good kick out of surprising people and built this car primarily to destroy the local Mustang clubbers who drag race on week-ends and pray on ricers to embarass them. He said that he is undefeated locally. I can't get over this car.
If your traveling in Middle Georgia, then be carefull. He also warned me that their is a
buddy of his in a bright lime green Honda Accord with a built chevy 350. I haven't seen this guy yet, but at least I've been warned about this other ricer sleeper car.
Is this a trend? I guess the Ricer's are tired of getting spanked so they are using good American muscle and trying to catch every one off guard.

my 99 CC 4x4 5.2 is a pig, but my old 92 RC 4x2 LB was a screamer. At 175,000mi I was still whooping a lot of ass. One day I came up to two Camaros racing. One was that newer one with the snort looking nose and 6 speed stick. He was racing his buddy with an older Berlinetta looking model. When I took off I passed the older Camaro but I couldn't catch the new one at all. Now they knew I was playing, and we hit it at the next light. I walked away from the old and the new one and I wer talking with the windows down laughing at his poor buddy back there. He had a 305 in the older one BTW. Must have been beat to S. hahaha
