Hello, My name is Brion and I work for Magnaflow exhaust. We are looking for some late model Dakota's with the different body styles (quad cab/crew cab) and with the different engines (4.7L, 5.2L, & 5.9L V8's) to prototype our exhaust system. We are located in Orange County in southern California. The vehicles we need should be completely stock and never been involved in an accident. In return for letting us use your vehicle we would give you a free cat-back exhaust. You guys need to read the original post a little more closely. They need your truck THERE so they can PROTOTYPE exhaust systems. This usually means it's still in the development stage.

actually jesse, i am not retarded. i did however agree with your statement and rather than making assumptions as to whether or not this deal is for real i checked it out with Brent Maas, the sales director for Magnaflow and he has assured me that this deal is in fact for real. his email is bbass@magnaflow.com. I was going to be the test truck for the 2001 Club Cab 5.9L cat-back exhaust, but due to me living 5 hours away plus other work commitments, I had to pass. I know other R/T Club members who took them up on their offer, left their truck for measurements, and recently got their full Magnaflow exhaust installed for free.
The initial measurements were done way back when after the original post. Guess all you paranoid people missed out. At least Magnaflow now offers a great cat-back exhaust for those who are interested in purchasing one.
