I have a '01 dakota slt. Not sure what the engine size. Been wrecked and hood replaced, therefor no catalyst sticker under hood. How to find out?

If it isn't an R/T then it is a 4.7L or a 5.2L engine. If it looks like a normal engine and has Magnum on the valve covers then it is a 5.2L. If the valve covers are rounded and looks like this
Then it is a 4.7L.

if it's an '01 it won't have a 5.2 unless someone other than DC put it in there. the 5.2's last year in a dak was '99.

Could be a 5.9 if it's a Quad Cab. Regular or Extended Cab V8 would be the 4.7 for that year
