I just purchased a 04 dakota with a 4.7 and heard of something at the dealer. The sales guy was saying that the 4.7 and the 318 are the same motor just debored or destroked. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is true or not. If it is then that would mean you could take a blower meant for a 318 and put it on a 4.7 with little mods. Thanx for any help.

Not true. The 4.7 is a completely different engine. Distributorless ignition for one. I think all the accessories are in different places as well. At least that is my recollection.
