i was gonna have my stock manifold pipe split or a new one fabricated, have 2 pipes w a hi flo cat on each and just straight pipe duals. ne performance opinions from u guys? good or bad

Depends on your engine and its ability to richen the mixture to compensate for improved cylinder scavenging. I bought a Shelby Dak with true duals from a prevous owner and don't see any difference in ET terms from single exhaust Shelby Daks.
