Can anyone here tell me what mpg I should expect from my 1995 5.2 with 4wd? I seem to be getting 9 around town and 14 on the interstate, seems very low to me. Thanks for any help

That is a little low. From everything i've seen on the 5.2 should be more like 10-12 city and around 17 highway. I have a 4.7 and get around 10 in the city, small town lots of hills and stop signs. On the highway 18-19 with auto and it is a 4x4. The ratings on your truck are like 12 city and 17 highway, for the 4.7 they are 13 city 18 highway for a 4wd not a big difference.

I have a 99 5.2 and some improvements were made between those years, but I get around 15 city and 18 highway. With those numbers I would say (if you haven't already) new plugs, distributor cap and rotor, plug wires. Also check you intake path, and remove as much restriction as possible. I simply removed the rubber flap next to the radiator and the snorkel from my air box and I gained 1-2 mpg, no kidding. I also have a throttle body spacer and flowmaster exhaust.
