 Subject: New High Output 4.7

Hey, did anyone hear about the 4.7 in the new Jeep? It has about 260 HP and 320 lbs/ft of torque. That's more than the 5.9L. I have a 4.7 in my truck and I can't even puhsh that much just yet. What do yall think?

HO cams, and I believe the pistons...but could
be wrong.
I believe CW gained 2 or 3 tenths in the 1/4
with the HO cams installed :)

By bigger pistons cudashoe means domed pistions for higher compression. The displacement of the motor stays the same. I'm sure the PCM programming is different to make use of the changes as well. The main bearings are supposed to be a tougher design and there is a different damper to go withthe forged crank. I'm sure all the power comes from the compression, the cams, and the PCM.

Dealer parts guys told me last Friday the the heads for the HO 4.7 are different (diff #'s than stock 4.7), including cams. Cams only $78 per. That's &156;/

trying to find info on the HO 4.7 how does it differ from the 4.7. Don't know engines. looking for info. before I buy used 2006 dakota.
