How do you know what type of transmission you have? I have a 98 5.2 cc 4x4 dakota and I want to service it but what trans do I buy parts for and dose any one sell a deeper oil pan for more fluid?

talk to someone in parts at a dealership and tell them ya wanna find out what tranny you have. they should ask for your vin number and it'll tell them.

You have an A500, Basicaly an A904 with overdive.
As far as the deep pan, TCI,B&M,Mopar Performance, Look in a summit racing catolog.
