Subject: Squeaking noise from right-front IP: Logged
Message: I hear a loud squeaking noise while driving that seems to be coming from the right-front area of the vehicle. Had it to the dealership 3 times and they can't find it. Seems to be worse when cold outside. They replaced the brakes, rotors, bearings and ball joints and the problem still persists. The squeaking is not from the suspension, and only occurs while the tires are moving. It is a constant squeak that sounds like a cricket stuck in fast-forward. I have no clue what it could be and was hoping someone out there has experienced the same trouble.

Message: I had a problem like that under my hood, like a Cricket. It was the idler pulley and the waterpump and a new belt,& clutch fan replaced to get rid of it. I have the 4.7 2KDak. 4x2.

Message: I get the exact same problem. I have a 2000 cc 4x4
and I always hear irritating squeaking sound
comeing from my gas pedal. Some times when I
jiggle my foot around it stops. I also have
sqeaking noises comeing from the out side.
sometimes when brakeing and sometimes while just
driving. My dakota is lifted w/33x12.5r15s and
just assumed the sound was due to the bigger tier
and rim size adding greater preasure to compnents.
Every time I go offroad, I come home with
different sounds. I cheked my pads, they were
still good. I cleaned out the brake pads, that
did'nt work. I too have yet to find the answer to
this problem. Please
