Message: Duner: I had a stroke of genius this weekend! What is keeping us from using the heater core as an additional thermal radiation device? This weekend I found that my peltier system creates ice crystals on the copper itselt, but this was after hooking it up to an old large radiator laying on the driveway.
Your intercooler system could really use this addtional capacity I suspect.
Here is a thread on this board about this:

Message: My heater core IS my source of cooling capacity. All of the water from my intercooler/fuel rail cooling system runs thru the heater core. None of the engine coolant circulates thru it at all.... just intercooler water. I've been without an actual "heater" for over 2 years now.... good thing I live in AZ where I don't need one! hehehe
With the heater control turned to HOT and the AC turned on it chills my intercooler system to between 40° and 50°F. I have a 2.5 gallon water reservoir that is insulated to store this chilled water. The entire time I'm driving it's chilling water. The PCM is programmed to cycle the AC compressor off at WOT, so there's no actual performance hit. The 2.5 gallon reservoir will provide about a full minute's worth of chilled coolant - which will last much longer than the engine would under full boost! I feel much better about 12 second "bursts".
