how do you remove the third cat on a 4.7l '01 q/c? im looking to free up some MORE power and sound. and is it really worth it to do.any input and instructions would be appreciated.

sawzall? but then you have to bend a pipe to reconnect the y-pipe to the muffler. Not mutch room under there and you have to go over the crossmember. If you wanna do this the legal way, I took my truck to a place and cut off the stock Y and replaced it with a 3" Y. I installed a 3" highflow cat about 2' after the new Y. Then into a 3" in and out muffler Setup cost about 500 bucks total and most of the new pipe is stainless.
