Subject: VERY dumb question about 318's and 360's IP: Logged
Message: Okay, everyone refers to the 5.2's as a 318 and the 5.9's as a 360. What do these numbers represent? My first inclination is "horsepower" but carpoint lists the stock hp as 230 on the 5.2's. Someone please, enlighten the ignorant, for in so doing, the world just may become a better place.

Message: The 318 is the engine displacement in cubic inches, the 5.2 is the displacement in liters I believe. A 2 liter motor has a cubic inch displacement of 122 in, therfore 61 cubic inches per liter. I hope this helps.
