Subject: Fuel Pump Failure IP: Logged
Message: Well well well, doesnt this just suck. Truck dies on me yesterday. Thought it was the sending unit telling my computer that i had no oil pressure therefore shutting down my engine. Got the new sending unit, then found out i couldnt get the old one out. So i call for a tow, and this morning he tells me it the fuel pump, so since i already had the new sensor, i told him just to go ahead and replace it, man, $300 or more for that, just earlier this week i had to replace alternator and battery, and week before had to replace the upper driver ball joint, gosh, this is the most trouble ive had this rapidly in the past 2 yrs. with this thing. Funny thing is, I had just left the dealer inquiring about a 2003 off-road quad cab b4 this happened, they test drove my truck and all was fine, said they would allow $6,000 on trade. and after rebates and all, I could get the new truck for $21,200, which isnt bad, but i still would do more negotiating. Sorry for the long story, but thats what this place is for, to vent, post oinions and ask for help. Anyway, hope y'all are doing well. L8R
