Subject: How Tough is HO Cam Install? IP: Logged
Message: How long will it take and how tough will it be to install the HO Cams? I'm planning on buying them from KRC Performance with the tools and instructions, and I was wondering if this is something that I should attempt. I would like to save some money on labor if possible.

Message: If you've done your homework, the toughest part is the R&R of the valve covers. I'd recomend doing a search of some of the older posts to learn problems you could run into. How long it will take will depend on your expertise and availability of decent tools, at least a few hours.

Message: You should also get a copy of the instructions off of buymopar.com. The KRC instruction are text only with no pics.

Message: These cams are super easy to swap out on this motor. Just get it TDC (the cam sprockets have V8 markings on them to help make it easier). Like Kowalski said the hard and most time consuming is removing and replacing the valve covers.
