Does anybody els have this problem with a 99 5.2? It idles about 600RPM but it is pretty shaky. It doesn't act like it wants to die or anything but it is still kind of rough. Has anybody done anything to help this, or is this just an attribute of this engine?

I have a 97 5.2 4x4. Some rough idle is normal, depends on how rough yours is. One suggestion would be to clean your throttle body, if problem persists, maybe replace TPS sensor. Both are easy to do, and doesnt take long. I know others will give opinions as well. L8R

mine was a little rough even with a new TPS. After I tweaked the TPS idle output voltage it cleaned right up. Just excercise some care when doing the mod, some guys let the TPS move when tightening down the screws and washers after the mod.

wow,that's a slap in the face to the good advice you've gotten. Have you tried the suggesstions to no avail. or are you going to just keep asking the same question until someone tells you what you want to hear? Good luck with your problem.

If you were trying to get more ideas you could start by acknowledging the ones presented to you and not ignoring them and asking for other ideas. It doesn't make anyone want to help you further.
You caught me in a bad mood, so I didn't sugar coat it. But the meaning would have still been the same. I am sure others agree.
Clean the TB and sensors; it is simple routine maintenence that you could perform and report back on its success or lack therof. If you want to try to get it a little better afterwards, you could try the TPS voltage mod (speedtweaks.ca).

not that im going to be much help but I did see a page on another site that had a mopar service bulliten about this. basically you need to reroute the spark plug wires very differently. supposedly they are promoting cross fire of other wires.
