I was in volved in an accident last night that caused $6200 worth of damage to my truck. This accident was a result of a driver with an attitude for no aparent reason, intentionally running my off the road. But the good news is that we found the idiot who was responsable for it and the police will be talking to him shortly. To conclude I guess all i have to say is drive defensively and watch out for jerks like this one.

I had a similar amount of damage done by someone not paying attention to the road. We were going on vacation and towing our boat behind us. We had stopped waiting to make a left-turn, waiting for traffic in the oncoming lane to clear. There was a lane to get around us, but some lady decided she'd rather pile into the back of the boat than use the passing lane. We had been sitting for a good 10 seconds too. Her claim? She didn't see the turn signal. I told the cop that I know they worked, but even if they didn't... it was noon in August.. didn't she see the big a$$ boat and truck sitting in the lane?! She destroyed the boat (amazing amount of physics at work there) and did a good amount of damage to the rear of the truck as well. The thing that irks me to this day is that the police report states "tail lights may have been a factor in the accident". WTF. She makes a "cover my ass" comment and it shows up in the report?! Irritating.
The beauty part is that she *completely* destroyed her car. She did survive, thankfully.
I'll have to find the pics and post them someday.
I'd be curious to hear if some sort of answer is forthcoming from the other driver.

Ran you off the road? Were you trying to jump the line? Because I hate people who jump the line. I've run lots of jerks into the ditch who try to jump the line. In my book, you can speed, cut me off, swerve through traffic all you want, just dont jump the line. I made a caddy kiss 4 construction barrels because he tried to jump the line. Please tell me you werent trying to jump the line, because if you were its a shame your air bag went off because we could certainly do without you.

HAHA "?" I do the SAME thing everyday when I get off of work. I get that chance about 3 times on my way home. Someone almost put me into a concrete overpass wall trying to cut in line. I locked up all 4 wheels and came within a foot of hitting it. If it was my old blazer, I would have hit their back quarter panel and caused them to spin out and maybe roll over.
Only difference with me is...if you want to speed, go around me...that's what the other lanes are for...
And never never never cut me off...

No acually, he was waiting fo me on a side street and when he saw me he bolted directly at my truck. This is what caused the accident. We dont know yet what may have set him off to be doing all the crazy stuff that happened befor he lunged at me. High-beamimg my friend and I, Cutting us off, Flipping us off, just being real stupid is the main points. And to Be waiting for me after I got stoped at a red light ( he ran the light to keep on my friends car) is just pure stupidity on his part. I havent heard back from the police yet... will tonight. I'll let you all know whats up after I know.

I thought most rationaly people would have realized the vigilante nonsense on the roadways is as bad if not worse than the actual nonsense going on there. Running someone off the road because they "Jump the line" is idiotic and just as deserving of jail time as any other crime.
People need to calm down on the road and ask themself if its really worth dying over. Most people in america are armed and it doesn't take much to push someone to the point of using force to take your life. It happens everyday so I guess there is no way to stop it but you will probably want to try and avoid being a statistic on the news.

Lets say there is a line up and we all have to merge into one lane, then someone sees that there is 20ft of pavement that isn't being used so he whips out and trys to jump ahead in line.

Or a lane ends about 300 ft up the road and everyone has merged into the remaining lane, causing the ending lane to become vacant. Then someone drives down the vacant lane then cruises up to the very end and forces his way in causing the flow to choke. That is jumping the line, and you will catch a bullet from me for doing it. Or you car will kiss the concrete wall...take your pick, don't like it? don't be an arsehole and you wont be treated like one.

You might think it sounds cool to threaten people with a gun, trust me on this though just because you don't have anyone doesn't mean that the other person doesn't have a family that loves them. It only takes one shot to put you behind bars for the rest of your life.
