Subject: Powerdyne on a stock 5.2L, Advice IP: Logged
Message: Just wondering what all i would need to make the powerdyne sc a good adition. I dont drive my truck all the much (only weekends) and would like to have a SC on it.
I have a basically stock 99 5.2L 4x4 and was wondering what i should look out for when purchasing a powerdyne. What all do i need to run it safely. Cause i sure love the look on
the ricers faces when a 4x4 with a 6" lift and
33x12.5's smokes em.
thanks!

Message: There is a slightly used Powerdyne with upgrades for sale on DakotaUSA.com. 10k miles use. Asking 2k I think. Owner just bought a Paxton. Looks like a good deal if you are interested. I think it was also posted on a couple of the other Dakota boards as well.

Message: I installed one on my 97 dak 5.2l auto 2wd with no problems. The hardest part was installing the aux fuel pump and lines into the existing system.
The system is designed to work with The stock pcm, injectors and ignition. I remove the S/C in winter as it gets really cold up here and really dont need the performance gains in 2 feet of snow. I reinstall it in summer. It takes about 1 hour to uninstall/reinstall as I leave the aux fuel pump installed, although it tends to run a bit rich without the S/C.
