Message: My Supercharger for my 99 rt slips and only creates 3 pounds of boost. Did any one else have that problem? What did you do about it?

Message: What type of S/C ?
I have a powerdyne that I had to tighten up the belt considerably. I eventualy built a bracket for the stock tensioner that now mounts to the S/C bracket.
I later found out that GS motorsports makes one
http://www.gsmotorsports.com/pd_performance.htm
It seems to have cured some of the slippage problem but not all.

Yeah it is the powerdyne unit. do you get up to 6 pounds? did you have any problems with detanation? I have a problem and some knocking on hot days when i get on it. does the svo ford 24 lbs injectors get rid of that?

Message: Im using the 9lb pulley and get about 6lbs boost.
When I didnt use the tensioner I could get about 7lbs with the 9lb pulley with gatorback belt and belt tension very tight. I was having a problem with the S/C bracket bending forward as I applied more belt tension and believe this is why I couldnt get max boost. I installed a make shift bracket to the back of the S/C bracket and a valve cover bolt to prevent the bending. This helped to get the 7lbs.
I have given up for now and will live with the 6lbs for now with the tensioner.
As for detonation, I have a mopar performance pcm that I sent to mike leach for a custom flash. Because I am using a S/C, mike had built in retard at full throttle so it wouldnt ping. I also have the MSD6BTM but currently dont have any retard dialed in but I can if need be.
You could try the MSD 6btm to dial back the timing under boost or go for an alcohol injection system.
I am using the stock injectors with no pinging.
I have the FMS 24lb injectors and the M1 2bbl but havent installed them yet. I plan on getting 4.10 gears next and work on the S/C problem later. Hope this helps. :)

Message: Kosta, I just remembered another problem I had found a while back. The stock PCV valve wouldnt hold the boost pressure and would leak into the motor. I replaced it with a Ford EV-140 PCV that I had read about on this site about a year ago. Check you PCV. Also make sure that all the fittings from the S/C to the airhat are tight and sealed. 3lbs is awful low, I would check for pressure leaks. Also, if you want to increase the fuel under boost try installing some vacuum check valves in the line to the map sensor. I tried this and it works. It seems that the map sensor cant tell the difference between boost and vacuum. The check valves bleed of the boost and the map will see 0 vacuum meaning its under WOT and increase the fuel (I think). This was another fix I read on another site but dont remember were.
