I was wondering what you guys think were a really good tire for our trucks. I was looking at the Kumho 711 tires...255/55/17. I was wondering if there was a better tire out there?

Nokian WR255/55/17 Are the best tires I have ever ran. Kumho's 711 are good and I'm not impressed at all with the toyo poxy's. Thats all I have an opinion on since thats all I have run so far on the R/T. I hope that helps.

If I were getting replacement tires I would go with 275 instead of 255 but thats a personal choice.

I have the 711's on the back of my R/T in the stock size and they really aren't a bad tire. They have been on for over a month and still continue to look brand new. They are w/o a doubt a huge improvement over the stock size but the truck will still spin them at will if too much throttle is given. For the price, yes they are worth it. I paid less than $80 per tire off the net and thought that was a great deal when compared to prices of other tires at various shops.

I would also go with a wider tire. I have 275/50/R17 Falkiens. I like them alot...they are giving a pretty good life too.

255 is way to narrow of a tire for a truck as light and as powerful as the R/T. I have trouble getting of the line with 275s, little alone 255
