 Subject: Voided my Warantee???..HELP...

Ok, I need a little help here. Does anyone know for sure that if
your dak r/t a 2002 model burnes out its computer at 15,000
miles ((covered under warantee)) the first time. And than burnes
it out again 8,000 miles later,Now they DONT want to cover it
under warantee. They say that due to the mods- such as Airaid
intake, moved IAT sensor, 1.7 roller rockers, thats why the
computer burn't out and now I have to pay
for the computer and labor?. Note that all this was on the truck
the first time when the same dealer waranteed the first
computer. Now
the truck is in the shop as we speak I'm not sure what I should
do. Please HELP :(

Well you could state that by the Moss-Magnusson act that the aftermarket part has to be proven to be at fault or else they must repair the problem under warranty. But be prepared for a fight and maybe even a legal battle. That's the problem with these Stealerships. They find any little way to get out of repairing things under warranty. That's what happened to me too. IMO warranties are completely USELESS unless you never modify your vehicle whatsoever. I'd get pissy with them and tell them that you know about the act and see what happens. If all else fails you could buy the PCM and put it in yourself. It's not a hard install.

I have heard of this before (PCM burn out)-- it was SKIM related. Do you have the security keys with your truck?
