Message: Im thinking about buyin a 97 dak sport. just had a few questions. it has a V8. now is it a 5.2 or a 4.7? and it also has 125,000. the guy wants 7400 for it. is that a deal? how long does the engine last and is it reliable? any answers would help ALOT!
Message: Engine is most likely 5.2, maybe 5.9. Too old to be 4.7. Go to KBB.com to look up the value with milage, condition, and options. Maintenance often has a lot to do with long term reliability, 5.2 can be a very reliable engine.
