Today my 5.9 started spitting and missing so I did the normal plug, wire, cap rotor change. Now it sounds like its struggling to push air out. I did a compression check and I have no pressure in #4. I have 150+ in every other cylynder. Any ideas? Stuck valve? Bent valve?

Did you put a little oil in the cylinder and recheck the compression? If it came up, it's rings. If it didn't, it's valves.

Or something related to valve movement....stripped rocker shaft, punctured rocker, bent pushrod, collapsed lifted, bad cam lobe....

I would be willing to bet that you have a broken valve spring. Pull off the valve cover and check er out. It is a pretty easy repair. Just use a leakdown tester to put air in the cylinder so the valve doesn't fall in and get a valve spring compressor that will work on an assembled engine and swap em out. Even if you take it to a shop it should not be too bad of an expense-maybe $150. I just did one last week and I think the dealer I work for charged about that price. If you don't own the tools it may be cheaper to have it done at a shop. Hope this helps.
