A common question. And here's the common answer. Yes, you can do it. No it's not worth the trouble/expense.
The V8 is a factory option, so all you need to do is go down to the bone yard and get every last bolt, bracket and wire that you might need. Easy.
But don't forget about all the other things that need to be upgraded as well. Cooling, transmission, drive shaft, rear end, brakes, front suspension, etc. By the time you get all done, you might as well buy another truck.
