Message: unhook the negative battery post on the battery and leave of for about 15 minutes. as long as the problem was completely fixed the code should go away

Message: Or check for codes cycling the key on off on off on - that also clears the code in my 2000.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: You don't have to wait 15 minutes after disconnecting the negative cable if after you disconnect it you turn the key to the start position and hold it there for 10 seconds. I was receiving the famous evaporative system failure codes for a while and that's how I cleared them.

Message: ...or go to your local AutoZone, Checker, etc. and have them hook up their OBD scanner, and clear the codes. Keeps from having to reset all the stereo settings, if'n y'awl care that is :-)

Message: Why wouldn't you do it the way Kowalski suggested ? You won't have to reset the radio stations that way either.
