 Subject: 5.2 runs rough in gear

99 5.2 just started running rough while in gear. Idles good, starts to sputter when taking off, but then its fine. Engine light came on but stays solid. Won't flash to give me codes. Any suggestions?

Pull your plugs, they will tell you a lot about what is going on inside the cyclinder. Clean the AIM, TBI and replace the O2 sensors. AutoZone will check the PMC for Free let you know if your Cat C. is the Prob. GOOD LUCK. Love my 318 99CC DAK. PS. 13MPG is just right. If you are getting better than that, sell it. Theses things run their best just before they pop.

Thanks Bob. 13mpg? Thats impossible! My Dak is a 99 CC 4x4 w/3.9grs. I get around 9city - 12hwy. I just changed plugs/wires-cap/rotor. Cleaned the K&N. The normal routine. This thing has had horrible spark knock for the last year. Stock computer with high or low octane-knocks? High Perf. computer with high octane - still knocks. This is getting fun!!

Great!! Now to add insult to injury, the water pump just started leaking. The hits are starting to come. I go to Silver Lake(sand dunes) next Friday. The trucks getting scared!!!
